Randy Owen remains best known as the lead singer for the country band Alabama. The biggest-selling band (as opposed to solo artist) in the history of country music, Alabama racked up a staggering 32 #1 hits on the country chart between 1980 and 1993. After the band retired from touring in 2004, Owen began a solo career with 2008's ONE ON ONE, an album produced by John Rich of the Alabama-influenced country-rock duo Big N Rich. Owen is the father of country singer Jake Owen.
