About Realistic Returns
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
"One of my earliest musical memories is playing drums along to Metallica in the late 80's, trying to keep up with the speed and intensity. That raw energy shaped how I hear rhythm and still drives a lot of what I create today." - Mark Johnson
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Beastie Boys, Check Your Head (Deluxe Edition) [Remastered 2009]
Cypress Hill, Black Sunday (Deluxe)
Cypress Hill's "Black Sunday" (Deluxe) combines nineties 90's west coast rap with Latino bravado when B-Real's lyrics hit to Muggerud's beats in one of the best rap albums of all-time.
"Check Your Head" by the Beastie Boys inspired our first album.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Wrecking Society”
It is what inspired "Realistic" to "Return" in 2026 to honor our founder, who is no longer with us. He dreamed about delivering helpful messages to all people through his music.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Revitalizing our group after raising our kids and launching a new type of sound to the world.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Our mission is to provide inspiration to those struggling with modern issues and problems. Our lyrics speak to a society on the brink and that mental health is rapidly declining, but there is hope because we've been to hell and back.
