About Tercer Cielo
Formed in 2000, Tercer Cielo is a Dominican contemporary Christian Latin pop duo.
∙ Two singles from their self-titled debut won Song of the Year accolades in 2003: a Premio AMCL for “Contigo estoy” and a Premio Paoli for “Heroe.”
∙ The group broke into the mainstream pop scene with 2007’s Llueve, their first album to feature husband-and-wife duo Juan Carlos Rodriguez and Evelyn Herrera.
∙ Their 2008 breakout single “Yo Te Extrañaré” ranked in the top 200 of the iTunes Top Songs chart in eight different countries, and it was their first to enter Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay list.
∙ Gente Común, Sueños Extraordinarios, the group’s 2009 Latin Gold-certified LP, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart.
∙ Since 2011, they have received three Latin Grammy nominations for Best Christian Album (Spanish Language) and two Latin Billboard Music Award nominations.
