In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was in high school I started to write songs and it's true that those songs are never great, but I remember writing some for a girlfriend at the time and she loved them. I remember that is was such a high to be on to write something for someone What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Boston, Boston
Huey Lewis and the News, Sports (30th Anniversary Edition) 2013 Remaster
Various Artists, Footloose (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Boston is in my opinion the greatest rock record of all time, especially being the brainchild of Tom Scholz. The Footloose soundtrack is like an 80's greatest hits to me.
Sports by Huey Lewis and the News is quintessential for the time period. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“One Night Stand”
This song was the most fun to put together so far.
The producer "MAIKA" hit the nail on the head making a modern day 80's song that I myself as a listener and not just the songwriter, could really enjoy listening to. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
I met one of my songwriting heroes "JD Souther" who wrote with the Eagles band.
I was new to town and he took time after his show to talk.
As he was leaving he said "Welcome to the Family" I'm sure he doesn't remember it but it's always stuck. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I'm not a huge fan of bucket lists, but I will say that my only goal is to put out music I'm proud of, something I can put out to the world and be a fan of myself first and foremost. If I can't be a fan of my own songs, nobody else will either.
