Artist Biography
Founded by a group of traditional doom true believers in mid-1990s Finland, Reverend Bizarre has never wavered from their adherence to old-school, molasses-thick heaviness along the lines of Sabbath, Pentagram, and Saint Vitus. Their debut album, IN THE RECTORY OF THE BIZARRE REVEREND, piled on the funeral ambiance and imagery, and the glacial-paced songs often cracked 10 minutes. They called it quits after 2007’s double-album, III: SO LONG SUCKERS, which stretched their compositions into crawling 20-plus-minute epics of dark majesty.
