In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My mother started teaching me to play piano at the age of 4.
My earliest musical memory was playing Christmas carols for my kindergarten class.
I was super shy, so very nervous about it.
But it was probably my first public performance. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Eagles, Hotel California
Elton John, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 2014 Remaster
Rick Paul, The Road That I Must Take
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road turned me on to pop rock music and playing Elton's songs. Hotel California, and Eagles in general, were all about harmonies. The Road That I Must Take is my most personal album, written at a true crossroads in life. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“My Reason”
I wrote this song about following the prescriptions of parents and societal norms, rather than my heart, but having things fall apart later, then shifting to following my heart, on the musical path, despite the risks. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
My song "All I Need to Know", written with the late Suzanne Wanvig, and now on my "Thinking With My Heart Album", had top five radio and video airplay in Mongolia via a then 13-year old pop artist, Nominjin. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Certainly.
I'd love to see my songs recorded by artists who can get them out there far wider than I can.
I'd also love to be able to tour and play for much larger audiences.
I find it easier to play for larger audiences than smaller ones.
