• In his teens, the fledgling rapper recorded songs on a karaoke machine to play in the car.
• Rio Da Yung was the first artist officially signed to fellow Detroit rapper Peezy’s Ghetto Boyz label.
• His distinctive facial scar is the result of a grease burn. The accident happened when he tried to pan-fry potatoes after a night of partying.
