A dance act driven by German production duo Yann Peifer and Manuel Reuter, R.I.O. is a vehicle for former veteran vocalist Tony T., who was approached by Peifer and Reuter (also the producers behind Cascada) to front some more of their club productions. R.I.O. debuted in 2007 and quickly became a successful act; "Shine On" (2008) reached number eight on the French pop chart and number ten in Sweden, while "Turn This Club Around" topped the Swiss music chart. R.I.O.'s full-length output included Shine On: The Album (2010), the digital-download-only Turn This Club Around (2011), and Sunshine (2011). ~ Andy Kellman
