Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Performing in church as child is one of my earliest musical memories. I was lead singer in the sunshine band at age 6. Starting music in church definitely gave me the essentials needed to transition over as an solo artist.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 2Pac, All Eyez On Me Michael Jackson, Thriller Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life These 3 albums have a touch on every rhythm in life. Stevie Wonder brings the soul, Michael Jackson makes you dance, and Tupac brings an aggression that is all needed in life. If I was stranded on an island, these few albums would be all I need.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Practice Long” Practice long is a song I wrote for my nephew. The upbeat chorus grabs his attention with a nice touch of the 808 drum kick, then follows the verse with a jazz melody providing a clear channel for serious lyrical matter to penetrate the listener.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Most memorable moments in my career would be performing at a private venue in Austin, TX during the 2015 SXSW festival. It was a mansion party with good people and the vibe was elegant!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list would be to show up to any city and perform for fans world wide. I love creating music and traveling, so to make something new and perform it on the spot is a dream of mine.
