About Romans
Romans were a transient all-female J-pop quintet made up of members of Hello! Project, a collective of female vocalists under contract with Tokyo's Up-Front Group. A true one-hit wonder, the group disbanded after releasing a single song in the summer of 2003, "Sexy Night," which charted in Japan. Its members were Rika Ishikawa (Morning Musume), Ayaka Kimura (Coconuts Musume), Hitomi Saito (Melon Kinenbi), Mai Satoda (Country Musume), and Mari Yagushi (Morning Musume). ~ Marcy Donelson
