In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Ros Sereysothea, known as The Golden Voice of the Royal Capital, was one of Cambodia’s most cherished singers of the 1960s and early 1970s. Her voice, pure yet powerful, conveyed the deepest emotions of love, sorrow, and hope.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? When the Khmer Rouge took power in 1975, her career ended tragically. Forced into hard labor in the countryside, she is believed to have perished between 1977 and 1979.
