Royce da 5ā9 is the stage name of Ryan Montgomery, an American rapper known for his collaborations with Eminem, Slaughterhouse, and DJ Premier, as well as for his solo work.
ā Influenced by the music of Ras Kass, Redman, and Detroitās Most Wanted, he began rapping when he was 18.
ā His first big break came in 1999, when he was featured on āBad Meets Evil,ā a track from fellow Detroit rapper Eminemās The Slim Shady LP.
ā Royce was the featured rapper on Willa Fordās 2001 hit āI Wanna Be Bad,ā which reached No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
