About Russell Allen
Born in 1971, Rusell Allen found himself, like so many musicians, thrust into the midst of a musical family. His family's interests, however, were in the direction of country music, rather than Allen's chosen style of hard rock/heavy metal. After playing with numerous unknown bands, Allen joined Symphony X in 1995. He was the replacement for original singer Rod Tyler and has been with the band ever since. ~ Gary Hill
