About Rusty Bend
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I found an old acoustic guitar in the garage when I was 12. It was complete with Ernie Ball's "How to Play Guitar Volume 1" so I taught myself to play from that. Some friends of mine learned power chords and showed me and my creativity exploded.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Joe Bonamassa, Sloe Gin
Mammoth, Mammoth
Van Halen, Van Halen Remastered
What guitarist doesn't list this album? Seriously.
Mammoth speaks to me because I write, perform and produce all my own music like WVH (but not as virtuosic). Joe Bonamassa is like listening to an angry, edgy and more bluesy Eric Johnson
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Staring at the Sun (feat. Trent McCallson)”
The slow build, the gospel choir (all me), the message about the struggle to break from conformity.
