About Rye
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My earliest musical memory is from when I was about 4 years old, I was sitting on a sofa at my grandma's place, and the radio was on. I kept bouncing to the rhythm, hitting my back against the couch - I couldn't sit still when music was playing!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Burial, Untrue
Radiohead, KID A MNESIA
Sevdaliza, Shabrang
The emotional rawness, realness, and darkness of these albums are what made me fall in love with them so much. Dark soundscapes that reflect the complex human nature, this is something that I am obsessed with exploring with my own music.

“June”
‘June’ is about seeking solitude amidst darkness whilst simultaneously craving authentic connection.
It’s shaped by me growing up in Lithuania, surrounded by experimental rock, underground electronic music, and the tradition of sung poetry.
