Artist Biography
Canadian singer/songwriter Sam Roberts released his true debut, The Inhuman Condition, in 2002. It became the best-selling independent release in Canadian history. The following year, he signed with Universal and released his second album, We Were Born in a Flame. The album was a huge hit in Canada, and Roberts ended up winning three Juno awards. He continued to release well-regarded albums for the remainder of the decade; Chemical City (2006) and Love at the End of the World (2008) also won Juno awards for Rock Album of the Year. 2011's Collider was credited to the Sam Roberts Band, featuring Dave Nugent on lead guitar, Eric Fares on keyboard and guitar, James Hall on bass, and Josh Trager on drums. ~ Bradley Torreano
