In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I wanted to be a DJ at the age of 8, by 15 I had interned for a California radio station and made my on-air debut that year. Spinning records was a thrill, mixing music on the radio through high school years landed me in L.A. in my early 20s.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Acoustic Alchemy, The Very Best of Acoustic Alchemy Fourplay, Fourplay Tim Williams Band, August and 30 Years After: A Counting Crows Tribute Mr. Jones caused me to drive directly to a music store. The poetry, emotion & cleverness spoke to me in a profound way. Fourplay's ingenious collab feat the most amazing musicians in contemporary jazz & Acoustic Alchemy defines decades of my career.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Soul Tattoo (feat. David Blamires) (Full Sleeve Mix)” This really defines me as a human. I feel grateful to be alive and have no plans to exit the planet anytime soon. I'm humbled by the beauty of this world. When we focus on gratitude, we can't help be see the good and color in all things.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being invited to be a member of the Recording Academy and participating in the Grammys.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things... The top of the list is to create an inspiring space to invite musician friends to come play on live streams in a natural environment where anything is possible!
