In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I wrote my first song when I was about 9; however, I made the mistake of showing it to my brother first. After he told me how horrible it was, I figured songwriting wasn't for me. Didn't pick it back up 'til I was 15 & wrote 10 songs in 1 week. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Madison Ryann Ward, A New Thing
Michael Jackson, Thriller
Norah Jones, Come Away With Me (Deluxe Edition)
This is so hard! I feel like I'm always adding to my favorites list, but these are my tried and true albums I've listened to for as long as I can remember.
And I added a newer album I've listened to on repeat since it came out! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Feelings”
"Feelings" originally was never supposed to be public; it was an assignment from my therapist that was intended to never go beyond our ears. However, immediately when I wrote the song I knew the real task was being vulnerable enough to release it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
As of now, definitely my time on NBC's show, 'The Voice.' It was just an incredible experience and I met some of the best people during that season.
Highlights: making John Legend laugh, hugging Kelly Clarkson (need I say more), Jim Henson Studio. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
