A '50s R&B vocal group, the Scarlets were the group led by vocalist Fred Parris, before he formed the Five Satins. Based in New Haven, CT, the group cut four highly prized singles for Bobby Robinson's Red Robin label in 1954-1955, notably "Dear One." ~ Bill Dahl
