About SCRUBB
Incorporating elements of jazz and funk, the pop-rock duo Srubb has been a major presence on the Thai music scene since the early 2000s.
• Scrubb comprises singer Thawatpon Wongboonsiri and guitarist/producer Torpong Chantabubpha. The pair met as education majors at Silpakorn University.
• The pair caught a major break with Fat Radio began playing their self-funded demo tape. That led to a deal with Black Sheep Record, which released their debut album, SSSSS..!, in 2003.
• “ใกล้ (Close),” off their 2005 album Club, has racked up tens of millions of streams.
• Scrubb creates the music for the Thai television show 2Gether: The Series. The program is based on a novel by JittiRain. The writer has credited Scrubb's music with inspiring his book.
