About Seeed
Formed in 1998, Seeed is a Berlin-based reggae and hip hop ensemble known for singing in German, English and Patois.
∙ Their 2001 breakthrough single, “Dickes B,” featured Jamaican rapper Black Kappa and reached No. 27 on the German Top 100 Singles chart.
∙ They’ve won three Echo Awards, which honor excellence in German music, including Best National Newcomer in 2002.
∙ Five Seeed LPs have reached the Top 10 of the German Top 100 Albums chart, led by a 2012 self-titled collection that hit No. 1.
∙ The group has collaborated with Jamaican dancehall icon Elephant Man (“Shake Baby Shake”), soul star CeeLo Green (“Aufstehn!”), and German rapper Nura (“Sie is geladen”).
Influenced by SeeedSeeed has influenced the music of IL CIVETTO, Doctor Krápula, Solarkreis and more.
