Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was nine, I got an acoustic guitar for Christmas and wrote a song called *Silver and Gold*. I drew a picture to go with it using silver and gold crayons—funny that my first instinct was to write a song, not play someone else’s.

I keep coming back to them for their mix of country, folk, and pop textures—smart lyrics paired with inventive arrangements.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Cold Coffee” “Cold Coffee” came from a songwriting workshop prompt and turned into a quiet, haunting reflection on memory and loss. It’s my most streamed song so far—picked up on a few playlists—for its vivid imagery and a simple but eloquent story.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was connecting across generations—having my young son help in the studio on Seeing the Sun Again while we recorded my grandfather’s old banjo on the song “Singalong.” That made the experience deeply meaningful.
