Spanish pop/rock band Semen Up burst into Galicia's scene in the early '80s with sexual-related lyrics and a dance-pop style many similar bands made popular as part of a movement called the Spanish new wave. In 1985, Semen Up's debut album, Lo Estas Haciendo Muy Bien, was released, followed by a tour around Spain, Portugal, and Italy. After issuing Agonía del Narciso in 1986, the group made Vuelve El Hombre, featuring "Tu Novia Esta Loca," the main title of a movie by the same name. El Gusto Es Mio followed in 1988. Semen Up disbanded after releasing Madurez in 1989. ~ Drago Bonacich
