About Set It Off
A pop band with punk roots, Set It Off has spent a decade topping the charts and broadening their sound.
â Founded in 2008 by Cody Carson and a group of his high school friends, the Tampa-based band took their name from a lyric in Fall Out Boyâs âCalm Before the Storm.â
â Set It Offâs debut LP, 2012âs Cinematics, cracked the Billboard 200 and reached No. 4 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
â New Years Day frontwoman Ash Costello guested on âPartners in Crime,â one of Cinematicsâs breakout tracks.
â âWolf in Sheepâs Clothing,â from 2014âs Duality, featured The Academy Is... frontman William Beckett and has since become Set It Offâs most popular song.
â Upside Down reached No. 11 on Billboardâs Alternative Albums chart in 2016, and 2019âs Midnight went even higher, peaking at No. 8.
â Piecing together lyrics submitted by their fans during a livestream, Set It Off wrote the 2018 single âHourglass Loveâ and posted the finished product online a few days later.
