In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I am the youngest of 6 kids and I remember singing every night, as a family, 6 nights a week and then church on Sunday. That’s where my musical education began
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 'Til Tuesday, Voices Carry Japanese Breakfast, Psychopomp Ryan Adams, Love Is Hell I’m a lover of sad songs, I love melancholy but also the beauty and hope that comes from our lowest moments, where the only way is up. These albums are all full of love and loss and hope and dreamy, shimmering despair and repair!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I wrote A River, Remember what we Forget and A River in Iceland a few winters ago and just making that music in the cold and dark magic of that place, searching for hope in the morning was so special. I love that place
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things, as a session player I have played to millions of people by this point but am yet to do even hundreds for my solo shows so I definitely want to sell out a place like Union Chappel in London
