Born in L..A.'s Jungle District, Shannon "ShanDozia" Myvett began singing in talent shows and high school groups as a child. In 1994, at the age of 15, he was signed to Vybe Squad Entertainment, which in turn arranged an audition with Quincy Jones' Qwest Records in 1997.
