Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of my earliest musical memories is hearing the Tarzan soundtrack and absolutely going crazy at the age of 3 or 4. Those drums hit me in my core and I couldn't help but dance! A few years later, Sade's "Smooth Operator" put me in a trance.

Dangerously in Love got me through my first few years of womanhood, making my body tingle all over! Helwa Ya Baladi is what I grew up on so it feels like those songs run in my blood. And then when TPAB came out, I knew the poet in me needed to rap.

This song symbolizes the blend of Middle Eastern soul and alternative R&B that just feels so.. me! I worked on this song with my husband who produced the record, which makes it feel ten times more special. So much love packed into this record!
