Mandopop trio S.H.E. is one of Taiwanâs definitive girl groups.
â After gaining attention with their 2001 debut, Girlâs Dorm, S.H.E. went on to release 10 consecutive Top 10 albums in Taiwan and to sell more than 12 million records.
â The groupâs 2001 cover of âBrown Eyesâ by Destinyâs Child was ranked at No. 3 on Hit FM Taiwanâs list of the Top 100 Singles of the Year.
â The trio starred in multiple TV shows, and their 2003 series, The Rose, won Most Popular Drama of the Year honors at the Golden Bell Awards (considered Taiwanâs Emmys).
â One of their biggest hits, 2005âs âDonât Wanna Grow Up,â was adapted from Mozartâs Symphony No. 40.
â Due to the trioâs fame, âthe next S.H.E.â became a common term in Taiwanese music to describe up-and-coming pop groups.
â To celebrate their 15th anniversary, they returned from hiatus with the 2016 EP Irreplaceable, which was Taiwanâs fourth-best-selling album of the year.
