About Shiny Toy Guns
Formed in 2001, the Los Angeles-based synth-rock act Shiny Toy Guns appeals to both pop and club audiences. Boasting male and female vocals, the New Wave-influenced group is masterminded by its songwriters, singer/guitarist Chad Petree and bassist/keyboardist Jeremy Dawson; the pair enlisted the melodic voice of Carah Charnow for the group’s debut, WE ARE PILOTS. Charnow left to lead her own band in 2008, replaced by Sisley Treasure. A finalist on the reality TV show THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS PRESENT: THE SEARCH FOR THE NEXT DOLL, Treasure brought the band even more exposure, and a darker sound helping sophomore effort SEASON OF POISON to a higher chart position than its predecessor.
