Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a kid, my dad took me to see Metallica on their North American tour for Death Magnetic. As we climbed to the nosebleed section, my dad whips out binoculars, and through those I saw James Hetfield live. My life changed FOREVER!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Between the Buried and Me, The Parallax II: Future Sequence Lamb of God, Sacrament Mastodon, Remission First of all, picking just three is IMPOSSIBLE! However, these three albums form a pretty solid base for my influences. I love the thoughtfully heavy progressions of BTBAM, the destroying riffs of Mastodon, and the brutality of Lamb of God.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Amorphan” This is one of the first songs I ever wrote, and it combines each element of music I love (generally). Thrashy speed, dirty tones, combine with an atmospheric journey through a dreamy sample, and a sludgy stomp on the tail end. Good for pits too!!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We have a song called Fade dedicated to those who have family members struggling with Dementia/Alzheimer's. One night we played that song live - our friend Markus was able to bang his head and cry for his mother. He said this song helped to heal him.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Who knows where the future will take us, but we're pretty damn excited for it. My personal bucket list includes opening for Metallica, but gotta be realistic too. Right now we write with our hearts & get it out there for people to feel alive with us.
