In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I used to listen to my dad's music on his old iPod when I was like 4 years old. I distinctly remember being on a train and listening to Bob Dylan or something and I think that's why I make music to listen to on trains now.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Adam Young, Voyager 1 (Original Score) Bleachers, Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night Matthew Thiessen & The Earthquakes, Wind up Bird 'Wind up Bird' changed my life when I was 16. Voyager 1 (and Adam Young in general) shaped why I make the music that I do now. My friends know how much I love Bleachers so that last one was pretty obvious. Jack inspired me to make my own music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Home (I'm All Yours)” Home (I'm All Yours) is one of my favourite songs. It's a boot-up sequence for the EP and I think it frames the rest of the music so nicely. It's exactly how I wanted it, a bittersweet nostalgic feeling that takes me immediately back to that time.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Honestly, I think just having people listen to my music. I'm just some guy making music that I want to hear so if other people enjoy it too then that's just amazing to me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? A live show would be fun but I'm pretty bad at playing live. Other than that, I'd just love to get my music out there and featured in playlists.
