Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. This must be around 1999 when I was introduced to Nightwing by Marduk and Anthems to the Welkin.. by Emperor. I was blown away by the rawness and sheer intensity of both these albums and ever since then, black metal has been my most favourite genre.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dimmu Borgir, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant Emperor, Anthems To the Welkin At Dusk Immortal, At the Heart of Winter Ihsahn's songwriting on Emperor's Anthems Ihsahn's was phenomenal and inspired me the way I wrote my songs for Skanda. Immortal's At the Heart of Winter is nothing less than an epic inspiring me to write long epic songs.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is much more to achieve in the music scene and am happy to have released the debut album in Skanda. The challenge is to sustain what I have created and do better in the next albums. A trilogy album is definitely in my bucket list.
