One of the more musically diverse electronic acts to headline major festivals, the American DJ duo SLANDER produce everything from trap and dubstep to trance and future bass—plus pop and acoustic tracks.
• SLANDER members Derek Anderson and Scott Land were in the same frat at University of California, Irvine. “Slander” is a portmanteau of their names.
• After college, the friends enrolled at the legendary LA production school Icon Collective, where they met frequent collaborator NGHTMRE.
• SLANDER and NGHTMRE teamed up for the 2015 Nuclear Bonds EP, featuring the fan favorite “Gud Vibrations.”
• In 2016, SLANDER and NGHTMRE embarked on the Gud Vibrations Tour. The three pals also collaborate on the Gud Vibrations Radio podcast and run the Gud Vibrations label.
Influenced by SLANDERSLANDER has influenced the music of Mr. WildFire, NEAVE$, Jaco Onyx and more.
