Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 9 years old, I created my own album out of paper and tape. I drew the cover, the album, the lines in the record, the sleave, the back and all of the imaginary songs with lyrics. After that, I recorded myself singing and beating on a pillow, lol.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A Tribe Called Quest, Midnight Marauders Missy Elliott, Under Construction The Pharcyde, Labcabincalifornia These are my vibes. I grew up to A Tribe Called Quest and I got my Freak On listening to Missy Elliott while reflecting on self and good times listening to The Pharcyde.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Get Up” This beat needed some substance and Tarius really brought it by telling some of his own personal struggles, which resonates with me and so many others. This is the song you play after realizing it's time to celebrate your victories over hardships.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2017 I won the preliminaries in the Remy Martin Producer Series contest and one of the judges was Drake's producers named Nineteen85. I didn't win the finales, but that was dope. I also won another beat contest recently against 7 other producers.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes. So much more. I've met many artists that I grew being a fan of throughout my life. I have even worked with a few of them and that was awesome. There are so many more who I'd love to work with, or even just be in their presence but some are gone.
