About Sofiane Pamart
Born in 1990 in Hellemmes-Lille, France, Sofiane Pamart is a pianist and composer known for bridging classical piano with contemporary French hip-hop and rap. After attending the Conservatoire de Lille where he gained a Médaille d’or (gold medal) performing works by Chopin and Ravel, Pamart went on to build his reputation through collaborations with French rap artists, including Koba LaD, Vald, Maes, Sneazzy, Médine, and Dinos, earning himself the moniker, “the pianist of French rap.”
Pamart’s solo career is built around piano albums including PLANET (2019), LETTER (2022), NOCHE (2023), and 2026’s MOVIE. These all sit in a neoclassical, ambient-leaning style, often compared to Ludovico Einaudi or Yann Tiersen, with each containing a strong element of French chanson. He has performed in settings including fashion runways and hip-hop venues in addition to more conventional concert spaces.
