Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Elementary school, sitting in the shell of my dad's 1989 Toyota half cab, playing TLC's Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip on cassette, writing songs already wiser than my years, not about 2nd grade, but about kids wanting to be seen, heard, valued.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Garbage, Version 2.0 (20th Anniversary Edition; 2018 Remaster)
Michelle Branch, The Spirit Room
Natalie Imbruglia, Left of the Middle
Each of these is an artist working at their peak with songwriting that still holds up decades later. They shaped how I hear pop, valuing production and craft over just the singles. I return to all three album front to back, not just the hits.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
People on Twitch have started asking permission to stream my music, to help get it out into the world. Folks choosing to carry something I made is one of the biggest compliments I've ever received, and it fills my heart with joy every time. <3
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Honestly, the dream is landing on a big playlist, the kind of exposure that moves the needle. But I'm grateful for any playlist that features my music, big or small. Music has shaped my life since I was a kid, long before I knew what to do with it.
