Softee's passionate synthesizer pop draws on quirky lo-fi indie electronica, '80s pop, and yearning R&B. Early tracks like 2019's lustful "Oh No" and the next year's lovelorn "Crush" (from her debut album, Keep On) proved minor breakthroughs, with the latter landing a TV placement before the arrival of Softee's second album and City Slang label debut, the more heavily R&B-infused Natural, in 2023.
