In 2018, rapper Soldier Kidd faced accusations that he played a role in the murder of XXXTentacion. Now that he’s legally been cleared, the Florida MC is looking to keep the focus on his talent.
• Hailing from Delray Beach, Soldier Kidd is of Haitian descent.
• He claims police raided his home following the June 2018 killing of XXXTentacion. Soldier had posted a video of himself with a gun near the scene of the fatal robbery.
• Soldier Kidd has maintained his innocence, and three other men were eventually arrested for the murder.
• At the time of the controversy, Soldier Kidd had just released the single “Better BE,” which achieved eight-figure streams. He later included the song on his cryptically titled 2018 album XXX.
• As the controversy subsided, Soldier Kidd scored another million-streaming song with 2019’s “Thug Cry.”
