In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I was maybe 8 years old, and had played a ton of Rock Band but never actually got to play the drums. My dad's friend had a studio, so we went to his place for a party and I got to play, so I started (probably poorly) Enter Sandman with the grown-ups.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Aesop Rock, Labor Days
Nine Inch Nails, The Downward Spiral Explicit Version
Slaughter Beach, Dog, At the Moonbase
Some combination of the tender and the cynical feelings I can only ever communicate. I think people are so contradictory and confusing, and we lose all of that by trying to find an aesthetic to market ourselves coherently. Yuck.

As time passes, I feel more estranged from people I loved. No matter where or how it happens, I regress into this empty puddle of aching chest pains, and this is probably the best way I could tell anyone.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
As Neighbor Kids, we got to open up for a ton of artists. They'd sometimes say the soft stuff needed to be out there, and I felt a personal sense of pride because that always felt like a footnote in my musical trajectory. It was vindicating.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Maybe the opportunity to do a cozy basement on the East coast somewhere. I don't feel lacking in anything I've done.
