Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was about 3 I'd load up the VHS tape of Youssou N Dour live in concert and start banging away at my Drums. Michael Jackson was my all time favorite though. Another memory I'm watching the Thriller music video scared but couldn't look away.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
D'Angelo, Voodoo
Frank Ocean, Blonde
Funkadelic, Maggot Brain
Maggot brain is wildly inventive mixing of R&b and RockNRoll landing somewhere in the funkmosphere. Blonde I loved the simple approach to compositions, the story telling and melodies. And finally Voodoo for its top tier execution musicality and soul
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
One of my favorite memories is the release of my project God Slam IT! It was so natural, one of the songs gained 300,000 plus plays from places like India. Reaching people globally lets me know i'm tapping into something deeper than language.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I want to continue to reach people around me and in parts of the world we don't usually give attention. I want to continue to cross cultural boundaries and prime my audience to be ready for changes in style and sound! 2023 about to be hype!
