About Spinballs
Hailing from Sundsvall, Sweden, psychobilly outfit the Spinballs first earned notoriety with their wild live performances in 2001. Alongside such similar bands as the Kryptonix, Nekromantix, and Demented Are Go, the Spinballs combine rockabilly with a healthy dose of B-movie horror debauch. The trio is made up of former Small Town Pimps guitarist/vocalist Thomas "Palini" Palin with Stefan Larsson on slapbass and drummer Ola Mannström. Originally billed as the Pinballs, the trio made its earliest recorded appearances on the 2002 compilations It Came from Hell, Vol. 4 and Rocked 'n' Loaded, Vol. 2 using the current moniker. By 2004, the Spinballs had released their first full-length CD, Hell and High Water on the German label Black Sky, resurfacing a year later with a second full-length CD, Phreak-A-Bility, available in the U.S. on Collector's Choice. ~ Al Campbell
