Splitsville is a melodically charged rock group from Baltimore with an ear for hooks and a reverence for the greats of orchestral pop that came before them. The band was originally formed in 1994 by twin brothers Brandt and Matt Huseman, who were also active in their power pop group Greenberry Woods. Splitsville provided an outlet for the more raw and immediate side of the Husemans' musical profile, and they exploded into being with the garagey, lo-fi sounds of their 1996 debut Splitsville USA, before going on to explore more nuanced chamber pop influences on 2001's The Complete Pet Soul. After over 20 years without new music, Splitsville returned in 2025 with their next album, Mobtown.
