About StarlightDaryl
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was a little girl, I would listen to my dad's cassette collection. One of those cassettes was Chuck Mangione's "Chase the Clouds Away". I fell in love with the sound of the orchestra and rhythm section before I knew what any of that was.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Hoshimachi Suisei, Still Still Stellar
IU, Last Fantasy
London Philharmonic Orchestra, Robert Ziegler, Yu-Peng Chen, Fantasyland
IU is my favorite all-time artist who I have been following ever since her debut. Her album "Last Fantasy" affirmed my love for orchestral pop. Yu-Peng Chen is my favorite composer; Suisei my favorite VTuber singer.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Space & Time”
I love this song because it was the moment I overcame my fears and anxieties around singing. I hired a live orchestra and rhythm section to back me as I made my singing debut. "Space & Time" has been a major turning point in my music career.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Performing live at VeXpo 2026 with my bestie and songwriting partner WUNDER RiKU. We played some of our best songs to nearly 900 people, including my singing debut song "Space & Time" and our hit song with Ironmouse "Music Box of Fate".
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I want to pursue singing more seriously and release a full album of vocal songs in an orchestral pop style. And I want to perform these songs live with a full orchestra and rhythm section, perhaps even go on tour.
