About Stench
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
We formed at Pizza Hut in 1994. Guerin saw Jeff skating outside and gave him some new skate wheels because his had bad flat spots you could hear from a block away. Turns out Jeff had a band with no singer, and Guerin was a singer with no band.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Descendents, Milo Goes to College
Pennywise, Unknown Road (2005 Remaster)
That fast, hardcore melodic punk sound is the heartbeat of Stench. 80s and 90s California hardcore punk in particular was the primary influence in molding our sound.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Another Statistic”
Another Statistic was the first song on our first recording. Although perhaps poorly executed, the sound encompassed the vision we had for what Stench was going to be.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
We’ve been lucky enough to share the stage with some of our favorite bands, such as RKL, Good Riddance, Lagwagon, Dr. Know, and No Use for a Name. These bands all had a big influence on our sound.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
We want to keep the spirit of fun, fast, energetic hardcore punk rock alive through shows, releases, and videos. Punk rock has been the glue that keeps us together, so as long we’ve got that, we can keep this train chugging along.
