Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 7, my mom signed me up for the school chorus. We had a Christmas concert in the lobby of Lord & Taylors in NY. It was crammed, hot & over-perfumed. I remember one song & then everything spinning. I fainted during "Deck The Halls"
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Glenn Gould, Bach: Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 (The 1955 & 1981 Recordings) Paul Simon, The Essential Paul Simon Weezer, Weezer My family listened to a lot of Paul Simon growing up. When I was in college, I took a deep dive into every Bach recording, but it always came back to Glenn Gould. Weezer showed me how much fun it could be to be a relatable rockstar.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Speed of Light” I read Einstein's theory of relativity at one point and thought it would be fun to loosely incorporate some of the ideas behind it into a song. Nothing is faster than the speed of light except perhaps the feeling one has when they fall in love.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I don't think anything really prepares you for the feeling you get when you see your music on TV for the first time. It's special and validating.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? While I have played most every place there is to play in NYC, I haven't played Madison Square Garden and as a native New Yorker that would be a dream.
