Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My father would wake me up on Sunday mornings by playing 'Flash Gordon' by Queen, so loud that the house would shake, and then we'd continue the day listening to the catalogues of bands such as The Beatles, and Black Sabbath.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alice In Chains, Dirt (2022 Remaster) Nirvana, Nevermind (Remastered) The Beatles, Abbey Road (Remastered) I have chosen these 3 albums, as in my eyes they are all classic genre-defining records that paved the way for bands like ours to exist. Each of these albums has played a pivotal role in shaping the me as a writer, and I reference them all regularly.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Everyone & Nobody” 'Everyone & Nobody' is the definitive Strayers song, that showcases everything we are about. It's a pacy song, with raw, and honest energy, covering a wide range of emotion, and dynamics. It was the first song written to cement Strayers as a band.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Having people sing our songs back to us at sell-out shows within our first year as a band is absolutely mind-blowing. Charting at number 1 on local radio in our first month as a band, as voted by listeners, would have to be a close second.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We have so much we'd like to accomplish, both immanently, and over the years to come; to perform at well established, UK Alternative music festival '2000 Trees' is definitely an aspiration we are aiming to accomplish asap!
