About Stuart Maima
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of my earliest memories as a songwriter was creating melodies on the school bus on the way home as a 5 year old but also I loved to re-write existing songs. Eventually I ended up experimenting to find my own voice as a songwriter.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
José González, Veneer
LOONA / ODD EYE CIRCLE, Max & Match
Snow Patrol, Final Straw (20th Anniversary Edition)
These albums are very different but touch my soul. Veneer and Final Straw best represent what I want for myself as an artist.Very raw in terms of lyrics and/or production, which feel very human to me. Max & Match is very playful and soothing

“Snow is Falling”
This song is a journey. It represents temptation, dangers of an idle mind, complacency and nihilism. Letting someone go and accepting it is over for them but choosing to be ok with that. There's a lot of subtext whilst being on the nose.
