Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My sister and I would spontaneously give my parents DIY tickets for a sing & dance show in the living room; growing up with a piano encouraged me to learn the instrument and accompany myself, whether I would write my own songs or post on YouTube.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aaliyah, One In A Million Erykah Badu, Mama's Gun Justin Bieber, My World 2.0 One In A Million is full of classics--Aaliyah never limited her artistry & I'll forever be inspired by her. Miss Badu encourages me to approach lyricism like poetry. I had to go with JB cuz he influenced me to begin posting singing vids on YouTube.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Can I” Being vulnerable is a challenge; I felt the production (shoutout Castle) exuded a sensuality to it & I wanted to match that. I committed to being a different kind of open & I'm proud of that. I want to continue to challenge myself & my truths.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? shooting How Does It Feel in Chicago and LA with my team & my friends; hearing the crowd sing along to HDIF at Schubas; writing & recording my verse in ATL for 'Love You' on Durk's The Voice Deluxe; seeing & hearing my growth throughout the years.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? an endless list--bring my team wherever i go. i love to travel and i love to perform so touring is on that bucket list. bring my family to the Grammys; attend the Met with my sister; be an SNL special guest & performer; continue to grow & expand.
