In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I used to work in basements and bedrooms of my earliest collaborators, each time projecting footage of the natural world onto the wall or playing a documentary on a nearby television. I was chasing *that* feeling of massiveness and understanding.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, 22, A Million FKA twigs, LP1 Ichiko Aoba, Windswept Adan I chose these three records because they represent the range of production choices, textures, and environments I am drawn to when creating.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My favorite moments prior to my first release would be the Hypervolume listening party we threw in the woods of Minnesota under a glowing sculpture we built for it, and the screening of the project trailer and DYHM music video from a bath house.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I dream of performing under the northern lights, next to a bioluminescent sea, film a music video from a helicopter, use sonic research as an instrument on a project, incorporate more poetry always.
