About Teri Gender Bender
Teri Gender Bender is the performing name of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Teresa Suárez Cosío. Though best known as frontwoman for Le Butcherettes, with Omar Rodríguez-López, she also co-led and recorded with Bosnian Rainbows and Crystal Fairy. Her music embodies so many genres that they are impossible to separate. Le Butcherettes' 2011 debut album, Sin Sin Sin, received international attention, as did 2014's Cry Is for the Flies and 2015's A Raw Youth. Suárez also contributes regularly to Rodriguez-Lopez's solo records. Le Butcherettes returned with bi/MENTAL in 2019 and followed it with 2020's Don't Bleed. Suárez released 48 songs on a dozen EPs in 2022.
